Yom Rabin is a community wide event for ages 16+ aimed at Jewish adult. Hosted by Habonim Dror with support from many other community organisations. We invite you to come, learn, and discuss relevant topics prevalent to Israel and our community on the theme of Yitzhak Rabin’s legacy – Peace and Security.
In a time where the world’s eye is on Israel and the Jewish people, it is essential that the Jewish and Zionist community of Aotearoa come together to discuss peace and security, for both the Jewish people of New Zealand and Israel.
Yom Rabin will include speeches, Q&A sessions, and panels from relevant members of our community and beyond. Following speakers, structured conversation sessions (Peulot) will be run for you to express your thoughts and feelings on relevant topics.
Yom Rabin is a time for our communty to gather, learn, educate eachother, and share our thoughts on the Jewish community, Zionism and beyond.

Yitzhak Rabin was the fifth prime minister of Israel, serving from 1974-1977 and 1992-1995. He is notable for many things including the peace building between Israel and its Arab neighbors which he spearheaded resulting in a joint Nobel peace prize.
Now at the 30 year anniversary of his death there is no better time to discuss and commemorate his legacy of Peace and Security
